A local engineer, about 14 miles from Amesbury
Amesbury is a straight run of about 14 miles west of Andover on the A303, so it is easy for Dexter to reach for a service, a repair or a bigger job.
The town has grown a lot with new housing estates on its edges. Newer homes usually have a modern combi boiler, and keeping its yearly service up to date is what keeps the manufacturer warranty valid. Dexter services every major brand and records each service for you.
Newer, well insulated houses can also get uncomfortably warm upstairs in summer. Dexter fits wall mounted air conditioning that cools in summer and heats in winter, sized for the room.
What Amesbury homes usually need
- Yearly combi boiler services to keep the warranty valid
- Boiler breakdowns and fault finding
- Air conditioning for warm upstairs bedrooms
- Landlord gas safety certificates for rented homes

I can not recommend Dexter highly enough. Very efficient, knowledgeable and clean worker. Doesn't try to make you pay for more than you need. Installed a new boiler for me and I couldn' be happier with his work. He is going to be my go to in future.

I highly recommend Dexter for any plumbing or heating jobs. I phoned him to help me sort out my immersion heater and he came within a couple of hours, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part I needed and then installed it within and hour after the part was delivered to my house. He is a competent, polite and a pleasant young man. ...
