Winchester and around
A local engineer, about 14 miles from Winchester
Winchester is about 14 miles from DWM's base in Andover, down the A3057 or the A34, which makes it one of the closest towns Dexter covers. Customers in the SO22 side of the city have left DWM five star reviews on Google.
The city has a real mix of homes, from Victorian terraces near the centre to newer estates on the edges. Older houses often still run a hot water cylinder with tanks in the loft, and Dexter can service it, replace the cylinder with an unvented one for better pressure, or convert the house to a combi.
For the villages outside the city that are off the gas grid, Dexter also services and replaces oil and LPG boilers.
What Winchester homes usually need
- Yearly gas boiler services and breakdown repairs
- Unvented cylinders for better shower pressure in older houses
- Combi conversions to free up loft and cupboard space
- Power flushing radiators that stay cold at the bottom
- Air conditioning for top floor bedrooms and home offices

Fitted a new unvented cylinder. Removed our very old failing vented system and re-routed pipework accordingly. Cleared out the old system and left the place very tidy each day. Ensured the work fitted to my schedule and even left us with availability of hot water (via the immersion) throughout the work. ...
